To Whom It May Concern:

Russell Anderson helped me throughout the summer of 2008, after Physical Therapy for a knee had ended.

Russell picked up where the PT had left off. he was caring and understanding, while still pushing me to test my physical limits. Two hours per week with him motivated me to workout some more on my own. I felt safe doing exercises and using equipment I had learned and practiced with Russ. Needless to say, the summer passed quickly, the knee strengthened, the pain lessened, and I even toned up some other body parts!

Since Russell's interests lie in the physical therapy area of total fitness, he was as excellent trainer for me. He was patient, and often used photos to explain musculature so I could see why certain movements were so beneficial for strength and healing. His help throughout the summer was invaluable!

I am confident that Russell's guidance over my investment of time, effort and money is what has paid the great dividends of improved overall health, stronger knees, and learning to live with arthritis. Thank you, Russ!

Sincerely,

Marti Bookstein, SPHR

"Before I met Russell I have not exercised in a long time, I was gaining weight and generally felt weak. After a year of training I feel a lot stronger and I gained muscles i did not know existed. Russell customizes the exercises for each of his clients and changes the workout routine frequently so it does not get mundane and boring."                                       -Leszek Glodkowski   53 , Parlin

To Russ Anderson

I am in my 3rd year of weekly training with Russ Anderson. At age 50-plus, I am in better shape than I've been in year. I owe it largely to Russ. Russ is a true trainer, with in-depth knowledge of all that goes into one's physical, and even mental, well-being. His qualifications are second to none.

Russ caters workouts to my needs. He keeps them varied, challenging and often fun. I never looked forward to working out before, but with R.E.A., I do. At this point I would not train with anyone else.

Just a note to thank you for getting me back in shape to resume all the activities I love especially tennis!! I had back surgery in 2011 and went through physical theraphy a number of time but was unable to get over the hump I need to. I tried everything and continued to walk away frustrated and discouraged. I started with Russell this past summer and he picked up where physical theraphy left off. The program Russell has designed for me has really helped increase my strength (especially my back) flexibility and balance. The workouts are very varied so they stay interesting. Russell watches very closely and is constantly monitoring to make sure my form is correct which is very important with a back issue. He is very knowledgeable, patient and encouraging. I really appreciate everything he has done for me.

                                                                                                                          Much appreciation,

                                                                                                                                     Donna

Russell,

Just a note to thank you for getting me in condition to execute my 70th birthday adventure of hiking the Grand Canyon.

At this time last year I was looking for a challenge for my 70th birthday. I found a trip with Road Scholar to the Grand Canyon the week after Thanksgiving. The first was a trial hike to see if you were in good enough shape. the second day was spent hiking down the South Kaibab Trial (7.2 miles and about 4800 feet), to the Phantom Ranch where we spent two nights. the third day there were two optional short hikes. The fourth day started at 5:30 a.m. with breakfast, then the hike up the Bright Angel Trail (10.2 miles and 4200 feet, the last 3 miles being the steepest) started at 6:30 a.m. We stopped for lunch at 11ish and then were released to finish the hike at our own speed. I tagged along with a lady lawyer from Philadelphia who set a slow but steady pace, with plenty of stops to appreciate the views and see how far we had come. We hit the top at 2:30 p.m. and I felt great.

The program you designed for me; building up my ankles and quads, improving my balance and my overall strength and flexibility made the trip possible, and enjoyable. the incremental increase in difficulty you introduced each month challenged me but was not to severe that I was ever disheartened or felt it was too hard. Your encouragement and patience throughout were very much appreciated.

Thanks again,

Chris
